Schedule of Events : Race Weekend Schedule

Festivities start on Friday afternoon at the beautiful new Volstorff Ballroom in the SDSU Student Union building. Pick up your race packet and run or watch a 5K.

The fun continues on Saturday with the races followed by a "Party in the Park." Come join the runners, families, volunteers and community for a post-race extravaganza of food and music. Free Nick's Hamburgers for runners, volunteers, and the community courtesy of our generous race sponsors. Entertainment will be provided from 11 am to 1 pm.

    Directions

    To get to the Volstorff Ballroom at SDSU Student Union Bldg:

    From I-29, take Exit 132 (main Brookings exit) and go west towards town on 6th Street for 1/2 mile. Turn right (north) on 22nd Avenue from 6th Street (Perkins on the corner). Turn left (west) at 11th Street. When 11th street ends at the SDSU HPER center, turn left (south) on 16th Avenue. One block later, turn right (west) at Grove Lane. Grove lane runs directly into the SDSU Student Union builidng. The Volstorff Ballroom is at the South end of the Student Union building.

    To get to Pioneer Park:

    Pioneer Park is located 2 1/2 miles west of I-29 on 6th St/Hwy 14 (not the bypass). The 1st Avenue entrance to Pioneer Park will be closed on race day. Enter race day parking from Western Avenue (just west of Pioneer Park).
