Friday May 10, 2024 Registration/Bib Assignments: 5:00 to 5:30 pm Race Start: 6:00 pm (Pioneer Park Entrance) Run on Friday evening of race weekend. The Scotty Roberts 5K is back with a new course that starts and finishes at Pioneer Park! Online registration for the 5K opens on March 1st. Parking and Packet Pickup On Friday, the road through Pioneer Park will be open. Runners are asked drive slowly and park in the west end of the park. 5K packet pickup and check in will take place in a small tent near the northeast entrance to Pioneer Park. |

Named for a running icon in the Brookings community, the Scotty Roberts 5K takes place the evening before the marathon. Dr. Roberts ran before running was even considered good for you, and his efforts helped pave the way for Brookings running over many years. This event provides a great chance to participate in a friendly race and still volunteer or cheer for your favorite runner on Saturday. Getting involved in marathon weekend couldn't be easier.
