Half Marathon : Awards & Records
All half marathon entrants receive a short-sleeved T-shirt. A custom medal is awarded to all half marathon finishers.
Open Awards
Prize money is awarded to the first three male and first three female half marathon finishers. Open and masters awards are based on gun time. Age group awards are based on chip time. Open prize money doubles if the finishing time is a Quality time (see below):

Masters Awards
$50 aid awarded to the first male and first female masters marathon finishers. Masters runners who place in the top three in the open division receive the larger of the two monetary awards. No double dipping!
Quality Time Bonuses
Using the 1994 WAVA Age-Graded Tables, the Brookings Marathon has established a Quality bonus to recognize the top three finishers should they perform near the National Class level or better. Any of the top three finishers who complete the half marathon at or better than the following times receive the bonus:
$50 aid awarded to the first male and first female masters marathon finishers. Masters runners who place in the top three in the open division receive the larger of the two monetary awards. No double dipping!
